Ian Murray returned to Australia in 1945. He married Adelle Litchfield in 1946, and
together they have
raised three children: Anthony, Suzanne, and Vicki.

Ian Murray was able to reunite with some of the crew after
several years. They were the pilot Dud Ibbotson from
Perth, navigator Ted Greatz from Mildura, and the English radio operator Ken
Andrews who moved to Australia after the war.

In 1972, Ian Murray attained a flying license for small
aircraft, and bought a six-seater, single-engine plane.
